The new lockdown restrictions come into force at Midnight on the 2nd Dec 2020. How will they impact serviced accommodation/self-catered hosts?
Hosts with accommodation in tier 1 areas will be able to provide accommodation to guests, but the rule of 6 applies.
Hosts with accommodation in tier 2 areas will be able to provide accommodation to guests, but they must be from the same households.
Hosts with accommodation in tier 3 areas will HAVE TO CLOSE their accommodation to all guests, excluding guests that are “required to travel for work purposes and for a limited number of other exemptions which will be set out in law”. As soon as we know more about these exemptions we will update this page.
